My research will examine the impact of anthropogenic impacts on the biodiversity and ecosystem services of stream ecosystems in the southern Appalachian Mountains. I intend to analyze changes to stream by considering both local and global environmental impacts, from land use changes associated with exurbanization to climate change-induced drought. Additionally, I am interested in exploring the benefits and challenges of using various stream restoration and conservation approaches to effectively conserve biota and services.
